#21955 - DEATH'S BRIGHT SIDE

When our faithful life is over, We're prepared for judgment day; With strong hope we'll cross death valley, "Come ye blessed," our Lord will say.

Here our feeble frame is tortured, As our pains come day and night; Then the reaper's call is welcome, For that home so fair and bright.

Do not say "land of the living," Death each day so many will call; We must leave this land of dying, To gain rest and peace for all.

Here we struggle with temptations, The way out our God will provide. "Death is swallowed up in vict'ry," Heaven's bright light at His side.

Thank You Lord for grace and mercy; Your precious Son our debt did pay; Tho' we're sinful and unworthy, Still You'll forgive when we obey.
