Jesus, royal, heav'nly Friend, On Thy kindness we depend; Rich and poor and great and small, Thou hast gracious words for all.

None so poor or pressed with care, But their burdens He doth share; Tho' our friends take other ways, His dear presence with us stays.

But the kindest deed of all, Was our ransom from the fall; Godlike friendship! freely He Died for nations, died for me.

Great of heart such Friend to be, Best of all a Friend to me! Let my life Thy praise extend, Jesus, ev'rybody's Friend.
